ARINC recently introduced its Avinet MQ Internet service targeted at the airlines and travel industry that are primary users of Type B business messaging over private networks. Avinet MQ offers the required Type B features, but at a lower price point.
ARINC worked with AvCentric to build, test, and implement the Avinet MQ hardware/ software solution. Avinet MQ integrates Internet IP capability with standard ARINC AviNetSM message feeds and airline systems protocols. After certification and prototype testing, Avinet MQ service passed field tests and was launched in September 2003
